90210’s Matt Lanter donated jeans to Westside Pavilion mall in Los Angeles on February 2nd. Lanter, along with co-star Jessica Lowndes, are taking part in DoSomething.org’s 4th annual Teens For Jeans, an initiative to raise awareness amongst homeless youth.
Past campaign participants include Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson, and Ashley Greene and Justin Long.
Lanter’s appearance created quite the buzz. A legion of supporters, toting new and gently worn denim, stopped by for a meet-and-greet with the star. “He’s like a brooding bad-boy on the show, which I love,” commented a fan. “But he’s so normal, grounded and such a stud muffin in person.”
After noticing camera crew and press, one passerby asked, “Is that Justin Bieber!?” Ha, maybe it’s the bangs?
Get involved by dropping off gently-worn jeans to a local Aeropostale store and receive a coupon for 25% off your next denim purchase. Donations go to local shelters where one in every three homeless is under the age of 18.
To jumpstart the campaign, Aeropostale has donated 10,000 pairs of brand new jeans, and the goal of one million has been met.
Thank you Matt Lanter, for bettering our community with your genes—Excuse us, we meant your jeans!
