Hayden Christensen

Hayden Christensen (born April 19, 1981) is a Golden Globe Award-nominated Canadian actor. He appeared in Canadian television programs when he was young, then diversified into American television in the late 1990s. He moved on to minor acting roles before being praised for his role of Sam in Life as a House. He gained international fame playing the young adult Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) in the Star Wars films

Between 2006 and 2007, he starred in Awake, with Jessica Alba, which tells the story of a man who remains awake but paralyzed during heart surgery, and in Factory Girl — as a character loosely based upon Bob Dylan — opposite Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce. Christensen next starred with Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Bell and Rachel Bilson in the film Jumper, the story of a young man who discovers he has the ability to teleport; the film was released on February 14, 2008. 

Bilson and Christensen co-starred again in the same segment of the film New York, I Love You. Christensen also appeared opposite Mischa Barton in Virgin Territory, which was released directly-to-DVD in North America in August of 2008. The film, based on The Decameron, is about a group of people who escape the Black Plague epidemic by hiding out in a Tuscan Villa in Italy.

Christensen was slated to appear in an adaptation of William Gibson's seminal cyberpunk novel, Neuromancer, set for a 2009 release, but has since been removed from the IMDB cast list.

In September of 2008 it was announced that Christensen and Paul Walker signed onto the crime drama Bone Deep set for a 2010 release. He will play a young detective alongside Matt Dillon. It is also confirmed that he and costar Rachel Bilson have been dating.

Louis Garrel

Louis Garrel (born June 14, 1983 in Paris) is a French actor. He is the son of Philippe Garrel, a director, and Brigitte Sy, a director and actress. His grandfather is Maurice Garrel and his godfather is actor Jean-Pierre Léaud, both of them also famous French actors.

Garrel is famous for his starring role in The Dreamers, directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, and for regularly appearing in films by French directorChristophe Honoré, including Ma mère, Dans Paris and Les Chansons d'amour.

Garrel is a graduate of the Paris Conservatory. He was awarded the 2006 Cesar Award for Best Male Newcomer for his work in Les Amants réguliers, directed by his father and featuring his grandfather in a supporting role.

According to an interview with Michael Pitt in the New York Daily News, Garrel, just before the shooting the first nude scene in The Dreamers, ran nude through every room on the set screaming. The prank broke the tension and "loosened everybody up."

 

Garrel speaks French, English and Italian fluently.

James Lafferty

James Lafferty was born on July 25, 1985 in Hemet, California. His acting career began at age six. At age 10, he earned his first speaking role. He was encouraged by his mother to act as a hobby, who also urged his brother to act at the same time. He attended Hemet High School, where he played basketball for the Varsity team, earning him an MVP award and an All-League award.

In 2003, he graduated from high school and enrolled at California State University, Long Beach

In 2001, Lafferty landed a role on the short-lived television series Emeril. He portrayed Emeril's son. Lafferty also guest starred on Once and Again, Get Real, andBoston Public. This led to his role in the movie A Season on the Brink. The film was a basketball movie about the 1985-1986 season of Indiana University's men's basketball team. It was based on the book by John Feinstein. Lafferty portrayed the character of Steve Alford.

In 2003, fresh out of high school, he was cast as Nathan Scott on the television series One Tree Hill.

He has recently been cast in the Donnie Darko sequel, S. Darko

Jeremie Renier

Jérémie Renier (born January 6, 1981) is a Belgian actor. He lives in Paris, France. He became more well-known with worldwide audiences following his roles in Brotherhood of the Wolf and L'Enfant.

Both his parents are osteopaths.   Brother Yannick Renier is also an actor.   He Is the youngest child in his family.

He has two sisters and one brother.

Topher Grace

Christopher John "Topher" Grace (born July 12, 1978) is an American actor, best known for playing the lead role of Eric Forman on the long-running Fox live-action sitcom That '70s Show, and the villain Eddie Brock, Jr./Venom in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3.

Grace was cast as Eric Forman on Fox's That '70s Show, which debuted in 1998. The sitcom was successful and Grace became well known among television watchers; he played the role until the seventh season, after which he left to prepare for his upcoming film, Spider-Man 3. The series was renewed for another season despite his absence before its ending in 2006. Grace would make a very brief guest appearance in the last episode.

Grace briefly attended college at the University of Southern California, but left during his freshman year to concentrate on his television work and to pursue a career in film. He played a prep school student who uses cocaine and introduces his girlfriend to heroin in director Steven Soderbergh's 2000 film Traffic, as well as having uncredited cameos as himself in Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven, and its 2004 sequel, Ocean's Twelve. "The joke is that you’re supposed to play the worst version of yourself and I don’t think too many people are comfortable with that. I never thought for a second that people were really going to think that’s what I was like. I think that people will know that I was faking it in those movies," he told Flaunt magazine in 2007. He planned to cameo in Ocean's Thirteen but due to his filming Spider-Man 3 he had to drop out. He also appeared in director Mike Newell's 2003 film Mona Lisa Smile.

In 2004, Grace had the starring role in two major feature films; he played the leading roles in the Robert Luketic-directed Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and the Paul Weitz dramedy, In Good Company, in which he played an ambitious but troubled corporate executive. That same year, Grace also starred in the film P.S., which received only a limited theatrical release. Grace's work in P.S. and In Good Company was recognized by the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures in the category of "Breakthrough Performance by an Actor".

In 2007, Grace portrayed Eddie Brock / Venom in Spider-Man 3, directed by Sam Raimi. Sony have announced that they feel he is unable to "carry" a blockbuster movie, so if the movie was to be made, he would not be chosen. Grace himself was a fan of the comics, and read the Venom stories as a kid. Grace is set to appear in the 1980s retro comedy Kids in America. Grace co-wrote the script and will be co-producing the film.

Colin Morgan

A fresh spin on the classic Arthurian legend, Merlin tells the hitherto uncharted story of the wizard's younger days. The story begins with Merlin's arrival in the city of Camelot, where the tyrannical King Uther has imposed a ban on any use of magic. We speak to the young actor in the titular role, 22-year-old Colin Morgan (recently seen in Doctor Who's 'Midnight'), to find out what happens next.

Why does Merlin come to Camelot?
"His mother sends him there because he doesn't quite fit in with the people in his hometown. I guess his mother feels that going to Camelot will be a bit of a release for him, allow him to be himself and to get guidance from Gaius (Richard Wilson). But it becomes very evident to Merlin quite quickly that he can't be himself. There's a horrific incident that happens that makes it very clear that using magic in Camelot is death."

Is it hard for him to keep his powers under wraps, then?
"He has to learn to guise it. He won't tell anybody about his powers, but he is thrown into these situations where he has to look for ways in which he can help people without others knowing. He doesn't always do it in the right way. We know about the great magician Merlin became, but we don't know about the mistakes he made along the way."

On arrival in Camelot he becomes manservant to the King's son, a young Prince Arthur (Bradley James). How do they get along?
"They get off to a bit of a rough start! It takes a bit of work, but then they're thrown into a situation where they have to work together and learn how to be friends, I guess. As viewers, we know from the beginning that their destinies are intertwined, but very much within [this show] it's about how that happens."

Merlin is also described as quite "impulsive". How so?
"On many an occasion, he will leap into a situation where he will do something which may not be right, but it's his heart and his impulse. He means well! That desire to help people and to want to do the right thing is what often gets him in trouble. And it just so happens that he does it in a magical way."

How familiar are you with the legend?
"I think when we started [filming], I knew as much about the legend as anybody. The basic sword-and-stone story, stuff like that, and of course everyone has this image of Merlin being this old guy with a beard! I've since been reading up quite a lot on Arthurian legend and there's quite a big gap missing in Merlin's life, the time when he was growing up. Why wasn't that documented? This show explores one possibility."

You have a very strong northern Irish accent but Merlin doesn't. Whose decision was that?
"For a while in the early auditions, I was keeping my own accent but I think we wanted to avoid making any statements as to where Merlin was actually from. From what I've read, there's evidence to suggest he was Scottish or he was Welsh. Going for a neutral accent made Merlin quite neutral."

The hype is now starting to build around the show. How does that make you feel?
"You spend six months in this world of Merlin and suddenly it gets to this stage, where other things are starting to happen. I have never experienced anything like this before, but it's exciting and it'll be interesting to see how it all turns out. It's a very exciting time for everyone. I'm just very thankful that I've been given the opportunity to do it."

Robert Hoffman

Robert James Hoffman III (born September 21, 1980) is an American film and television actor. He has also worked as a dancer and choreographer.

He appeared in the TV show Quintuplets and was a cast member on the FOX drama Vanished. Hoffman's first major film role is in the 2006 comedy, She's the Man, starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum, the latter with whom he is good friends. Hoffman also starred alongside Tatum in two more movies, Coach Carter and Step Up 2 the Streets.

He was also a castmember on MTV's Wild 'N Out, and appeared as a guest on America's Next Top Model. In 2008, he starred in the film Step Up 2 the Streets as Chase Collins, a talented dancer at the Maryland School of the Arts and acted alongside Briana Evigan. He will also star in the movie They Came from Upstairs, alongside High School Musical star, Ashley Tisdale. On June 1, 2008, Hoffman received a 2008 MTV Movie Award along with costar Briana Evigan for "Best Kiss" in their 2008 movie "Step Up 2:The Streets" where in a highlight of the show they accepted the award by sharing a kiss on stage similar to the one they shared in the movie.

Currently, he is dating Alice Greczyn, an actress and model, and has been reported of going out with her since 2006 when they met on the set of the flick Shrooms.

Mitch Hewer / Britannia High

Mitchell Scott "Mitch" Hewer  (born July 1, 1989 in Bristol) is an English actor, who is best known for his role of Maxxie Oliver, an openly gay character, in the E4 teen drama, Skins. At the end of the second series, his character—along with the rest of the current main cast—was written out of the show.

The series, which will follow the lives of six super-talented pupils at a fictional performing arts school, will end with a 90-minute final episode featuring an end-of-term Students' Showcase.

 
Skins star Mitch Hewer, Tracey Beaker's Georgina Hagen, Sapphire Elia from Dream Team, Marcquelle Ward, Matthew James Thomas and Rana Roy will play the six students.

Oliver James

Oliver was born in Ottershaw, Surrey. His father is involved in car racing, and James had originally wanted to pursue a career as a professional race car driver. He played the drums in a band while in secondary school, where he also participated in racing and motorcrossing.

Oliver graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in Surrey, where he majored in drama, and subsequently appeared in stage productions and commercials. At the age of nineteen, he adapted his middle name as his professional surname, in order to avoid confusion with actor Oliver Hudson.

Oliver's first screen appearance was a supporting role in the 2002 made-for-television short film,School's Out; he next appeared in a 2003 episode of the BBC series, The Afternoon Play, and joined a boy band produced by Simon Fuller. He left the band as soon as he was cast opposite actress Amanda Bynes in the American romantic comedy,What a Girl Wants; for his role in the film, he learned to play the guitar and co-wrote and sang the songs Long Time Coming and Greatest Story Ever Told, which were on the film's soundtrack.

Oliver's next role was opposite Hilary Duff in the teen film Raise Your Voice, which was released in October of 2004 and grossed $10 million domestically.

He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, having moved there in 2003, to pursue an acting career.

William Moseley

The opening scene of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, has a particular personal resonance for the actor William Moseley, who this month reprises the role of Peter in the latest film adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s beloved literary classics. In the new film, released here next week, Peter’s punch-up follows his struggle to adjust normality after a taste of the high life as King of Narnia. Not so long ago, Moseley found himself in a similar spat, coming to blows with fellow pupils after returning to school straight from the film set of one of the most successful film franchises of all time.

Moseley looks sheepish as he recalls the incident. "I didn’t have the easiest time at school," he shrugs. "People didn’t like the fact that I was away a lot auditioning for and then playing the part - they thought I was arrogant and up myself for believing that I might just get it. Every time I went back to school, it got worse.

 

"It all exploded at my leavers ball when I ended up getting into a huge fight with another boy, and I really punched him. Everyone was uptight about me coming back, and I had a lot of energy in me and it was just unleashed. I knew I couldn’t leave school without doing something stupid, but I wished I’d been more controlled. I didn’t behave like a gentleman at all, I behaved like a savage."

Like the character he plays in the Narnia films, Moseley, 21, has done much of his growing up on screen. Cast for the role of Peter Pevensie at 15, he was very much a young boy in the first film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but appears on the brink of manhood as a 17-year-old Peter in Prince Caspian.

It is a transition Moseley is aware of: "When Peter steps through the wardrobe, he’s a boy. But when he steps back out of the wardrobe, as the story finishes, he’s a man," says Moseley, who is still both the boy who keeps a toy badger on his bed, but a gentleman who insists on paying for lunch. "I like to think I also became a man throughout the making of this film."

USA High is an American teen sitcom which ran from August 1997 to June 1999 and ended after 95 episodes. The show revolved around six friends enrolled at the American Academy boarding school in Paris, France. The show was one of several teen sitcoms created by Peter Engel, who was also responsible for the Saved by the Bell franchise, California Dreams, City Guys, and Hang Time.

 

Cillian Murphy

He is convinced that Father Bernard (Liam Neeson) – the priest who found him as a baby on the doorstep of his church in Ireland – is his real dad.

Director Neil Jordan keeps the pace as jaunty as the pop soundtrack until Kitten flounces off to London, hooks up with a gay magician named Bertie, nicely played by Stephen Rea, and starts learning some harsh truths.

Not a patch on Jordan’s 1990s movie hit The Crying Game but it still offers enough quirky humour mixed with explosive action to merit a look.

Stephen Dorff

Stephen Dorff (born July 29, 1973) is an American actor, best known for portraying Stuart Sutcliffe in Backbeat and for his roles in Blade and Cecil B. DeMented.

Dorff has been linked to Courtney Wagner, his first serious girlfriend, the daughter of Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood. He later briefly dated Clueless star, Alicia Silverstone. They both appeared in the music video "Cryin'" by Aerosmith.
